After recording their first record, Sounds of Nature (Trd W/D, 1999) as a duo, Impractical Cockpit became a trio, deeply intensified their dynamics, and moved to New Orleans. In full tripod mode, they cranked out infamous ninety-minute live sets, dragging the irregular out of the standard bass-drums-guitar lineup. Their wide open soul-suck sound mixes a retro-boozled howl with the ack ack attack of negative creeps such as Flipper.
