A huge excerpt from a two-hour show at Tommy’s in Richmond, Virginia, performed in April 1997 by the combined entire lineups of Pelt and Rake (with additional miscellaneous players). Their long improvisations varied from show to show, but often started with a bang, slowly expanded into open space where interesting details emerged, and subsequently cleared the room.
